‘Statue of Unity’ which is of Sadar Vallabh Bhai Patel unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, marking Patel’s birth anniversary.

The 182-metre statue of Sardar Patel is “the world’s tallest statue”.

The height was fixed at ‘182’ metre to match the total assembly constituencies in Gujrat. it is visible in a 7-km(4.3 miles approx) radius.

The Statue is built near the Sadar Sarovar Dam in the Narmada district, around 200 kilometres from Ahmedabad.

The statue is able to withstand winds up to a velocity of 60m/sec, vibrations and an earthquake.

The statue has a viewing gallery at a height of 153m and can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time.

There is a three-story base that comprises a memorial garden, and a large exhibit hall developed as an edutainment attraction.

The projects involve a walkway, a four-lane approach highway, and the SHRESTHA BHARAT BHAVAN which is a three-star lodging facility.
